Big Shanty Park in Kennesaw is an active park that hosts Cobb County youth baseball and soccer leagues. Other recreational features include tennis courts, a multi-story playground, and trails. This park is also home to The Art Station, offering classes and workshops.

- The entrances to the trails can be hard to find. One is located next to the playground.
- The path is indicated by arrows on poles. (Not always easy to follow.)
- Watch your step, the trails have many exposed roots and loose rocks
